Spread the world quickly through the viral network
There are many ways to use viral videos for marketing; two of them are tags and comments. By assigning specific tags to your videos, you will ensure that they pop up in searches, and that people will know that they are interested in it before they play it. Another perk of an appropriate tag is that your video will show up in similar video lists; in other words, people who have expressed an interest in a video that is similarly tagged will see your video pop up in a list once their video has ended. By using the comment feature properly, you will invite open dialogue about your videos. In doing so, you will entice more people to join the discussion, which may reach a wider audience than you initially expected as different comments introduce tangential topics that attract a diversified crowd.

Compare Prices
eBay has a business model that shows Affiliate Marketing at its best you list you item on their site and they take a percentage of whatever you sell. They give you the exposure to the world and you provide the product. For little or no money up front in advertising you are seen by a global audience.
Comparison shopping is a great way to be exposed to a wide variety of customers as your product would come up in a search for a similar product giving the client a choice in what they purchase beyond what they entered in their original search.

Image from viral video of 3D dancing baby
Five things to avoid if you want your video to go viral.
1. Upload poor quality video. The very first item on your to-do list should be to create great content. Go the extra mile to record a high-quality video with a great storyline. Poor quality videos are an immediate turn-off and no one will want to forward this to their friends or comment with positive feedback.
2. Make a video that is similar to what others are creating. This may sound like a great plan – others are successful at x or y, so I should do the same. Wrong!
There are millions of videos on sharing sites such as YouTube. Quality is the first barrier that potential viewers encounter. Unique content is the next. If it’s high-quality yet boring or mundane and ordinary, browsers will continue on to another video.
3. Don’t worry about tags or labels. Wrong again! Do worry about tags and labels.
If your video is categorized or labeled incorrectly, or worse yet, not labeled at all, no one will find it. It may be the greatest video since the 3D dancing baby, but being the greatest video content ever created doesn’t mean browsers will magically find it. You have to help them get to your content through correct and smart tagging.
4. Get pissed when people leave negative comments. If people are constantly posting that your content is of poor quality, perhaps you need to consider that as constructive criticism. Additionally, if you’ve created a video that is so compelling, it divides viewers in to “haters” and “lovers”, and it consequently creates a firestorm of comments, consider yourself blessed. Oftentimes, great artists and successful individuals are ones that polarize others.
5. Stay way from channeling. Repeat this to yourself, Channeling is not the enemy. Channeling is my friend. Channeling adds to the uniqueness of your content, it gives you a tool for branding and to group together the content you have to offer. It’s a great tool.

These five tips will help in creating effective, viral videos.

Viral videos
1. Create quality content – the higher quality your video, the more clearly your message will be conveyed to your audience.
2. Create unique content – stand out, stand apart, stand up. To get noticed in the crowded social media, video-sharing world, you need to present content that is unique and compelling.

4. Share – Your mom always told you to share, and she was right. Use social media sites like Twitter and MySpace to get your content shared and shared again. Mom would be so proud.

Using viral video features can greatly increase the visibility of your online content.

Viral Video
Using the correct tags and descriptions is the main way you will be found by viewers. The first step towards being viral (after uploading, of course) is to label and place your video in such a way that it will be easily found by your target market. Correctly tagging a video can also assist the content in appearing in the “similar video” sidebar, exposing it to greater numbers of potential viewers.
Advanced-sharing tools allows the video to be shared via social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or MySpace. These types of sites are rife with shared content which quickly circulates the massive amount of users. Creating great videos that are shared via social media ensure great exposure.

High school athlete
Viral videos are a great Internet marketing tool for athletes that are just starting out in their sport, looking for visibility and sponsorship.
Video marketing offers the athlete an opportunity to record footage of their best moments and broadcast it to millions. In the pre-Internet era, athletes depending on scouts coming to their games. If the athlete had on “off” day or was unavailable during the time the scout came, they would lose out on potential contracts.
Now, with videos and the shot at going viral, a fledgling athlete can compile clips of their best features, best performances, and give a short video bio and disseminate it to millions. The younger the athlete, or the more extraordinary the athletic performances featured in the video, the better chance of going viral.

Tin Robby the Robot
For example, I am selling retro space toys. Many of them wind-up and in order to effectively show their movement a viral video would be a great tool to use for marketing. A short film of less than 5 minutes would be all I would need to talk about the products available and how the toys operate. It’s good to show something like this instead of just writing about them as they are very artistic and have a motion component to them.
The video has to move at a good clip, and more than one would be good so as not to pack too much information into one video. By posting the video on popular viral sharing websites the company would receive enormous exposure world-wide as long at it is categorized properly and can be easily found.

Effectively using social media for promoting business
I would like to establish a content writing business in India which caters specifically to companies in realm of finance in America. Social media marketing would be the first SEO strategy I would like to adopt, the reason is, I already know a lot of people in financial writing (who are based in US). Using their connections and contacts, I will connect with more people who will always get references from my earlier contacts. It will be a combination of social media marketing as well as viral marketing. This will help me in procuring more clients for my business thus increasing the revenue streams.

Targeted Advertising
Facebook has become a darling of social media marketers for no reasons. Compared to Google AdWords, which till now used to rule the roost, advertising features of Facebook not only come cheap, but also are more effective in terms of return on investments. Given below are two Facebook features, which will help you in your business promotions.
Suppose you own a body massage services company in Los Angeles, consider using the following tools for business promotions –
Connection Targeting
This powerful feature of Facebook allows you to get in touch with specific prospective customers without pushing your business promotions on their faces. For example, if your body massage services are specifically targeted towards people in the age group of 25-40, residing in Los Angeles, then this tool will enable you to place your ads on their Facebook homepages in the form of banners, videos, newsfeeds and other things. This feature also allows you to reach people on the connection list of people already members of your businesses fan page.
Radius Targeting
If you think that people visiting Los Angeles for business and leisure purposes are also your target audience, then probably this is the best feature of Facebook to be used. Just specify the radius or cities from which you think your business will emanate and see your business grow.

Social Media Marketing
Though social media marketing is being adopted by larger organizations for marketing their products and services, smaller companies also stand to benefit equally from it. For example, if you have just launched body massage services in Los Angeles, social media marketing is the best way to get your word out there. Of course this can be achieved through traditional advertising mediums, but again, that would be too costly. By efficiently using social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and blogs, the word will be out there much more quickly and efficiently.
The primary reasons of you getting benefited the most are as follows –
- Bare minimum advertising costs.
- Exposure to large audience (probably beyond reach of traditional media) in shortest possible time.
- Since body massage services can only be evaluated only after the service is taken, reviews would be genuine enabling you to garner broader client base.
