For many businesses, the internet can be an effective way to get the most out of advertising.
Advertising on Internet is an invaluable tool for businesses because it is the most measurable means of advertising in terms of gauging the viewership of its intended audience. Whereas businesses cannot measure the number of people who may or may not have viewed a newspaper ad, and can only have a very rough idea of how many people saw a television ad, assuming they were attentively watching, response to internet advertising can be measured very directly by how many times an ad link was visited and by whom. Also, with many people spending an increasingly large amount of time on the internet, internet advertising is becoming more and more advantageous in terms of putting the product name where it may catch the attention of a potential client.

After closer review, I do believe that Internet Marketing is an invaluable tool for businesses today. Looking at traditional ways of marketing products and services, like news and magazine ads, direct mailing, even billboards…Internet Marketing reaches many more people, if done correctly. In addition to getting the attention of millions rather than hundreds, Internet Marketing provides a way for businesses to track and monitor the success of their campaign ads. Having that kind of tangible information can assist businesses in optimizing their exposure to the public.

Restaurants and Cafes would greatly benefit from Internet Marketing Strategies, specially for those start up restaurants that need to attract and maintain loyal customers. People nowadays constantly search for new restaurants to try, and they do so by searching the Internet for good reviews. If a restaurant has a blog where the menu, prices, contact information and location are indicated, people will easily have an idea about that restaurant. The restaurant owner can also add pictures of their signature dishes to further entice customers to come and try the restaurant. Also, viral campaigns in Facebook and Twitter are very helpful especially if the restaurant wants to promote new dishes or promos. Blog entries from satisfied customers also increase the chances of a restaurant on acquiring new customers. Online visibility is very important in this industry since people nowadays seldom read magazine or newspaper features regarding restaurants. Internet is more accessible and people prefer to read reviews from food critics and regular customers rather than a scripted magazine feature.
