I believe that the main difference between an SEO friendly press release and a traditional press release is the intent. Traditionally, press releases are a way of putting out important or changing information about a particular company, an upcoming event, or forecasts. An SEO press release should accomplish that, but has the additional goal of creating a bigger buzz about that company or event. An SEO friendly press release will use key-wording and more stylish writing in order to get the attention of the reader, and to engage them on a deeper level. SEO press releases target the audience and entice them to learn more about the subject. They will back link to other relevant sites and, in turn create more visibility.
