Take precautions not appear disingenuine, you are touching the lives of people in an intimate way and you have to be appealing and real.

Do not write lengthy pieces, be concise and cognizant of the words you are using, you want to attract not repel.

Make what you have written compelling; make the user want to click on your link to read more. Do not be boring or redundant in what you write.

Vary the posts, do not stick to only one format but change it up.

Never be sloppy or unprofessional, your fan base is a valuable resource and you want to attract more people and get referrals.

World Flocks To Computers

The world flocks to computers.

Creating a strong presence on the web is very important for today’s businesses, and SEO is the pathway to success. As consumers flock to the web for information, entertainment and purchasing, businesses who know how to reach those readers will be more successful. Businesses who want to have a successful web presence must consider not just finding an available URL and setting up camp. They must ensure that the website is useful and relevant. SEO is the way to accomplish this.

SEO is also invaluable in making business websites work for their money, so to speak. If a business is going to go to the expense and effort of creating a great web page, they should ensure that it truly meets the needs of their visitors and customers. That website should be garnering every single page click available, otherwise it is a wasted resource

Things to Avoid When Web Designing

March 22nd, 2010 § 0 comments § permalink

Put in the effort when it comes to designing your next site

Five things to remember during the web design process are: Usability testing should never ever EVER be an afterthought. If your site isn’t very usable, nobody is going to use it. Never sacrifice user-friendly designs for those less inclined to easy-to-understand interfaces and structures. Do not clutter a website with an overload of information. In general, most items can be categorized; with categories comes the specialization of customers, which in turn makes it easier for people to find things quickly and efficiently. Be aware of the client’s character – never design with yourself in mind. Do not overuse medias that may increase loading time, and make it more difficult for people to peruse the site.

How a Bread Bakery Could Benefit From Twitter

March 22nd, 2010 § 0 comments § permalink

A San Franciscan sour-dough bread bakery would benefit from using twitter, once they’ve established a decent following of loyal customers. With this large base solidified,  the company could announce when fresh hot bread is available at the various locations. Normally, only those individuals that see the neon sign, or are within smelling distance get to drop-in for deliciously hot fresh-from-the-over sour dough. In doing this, the bakery will ensure a consistently larger crowd during controlled hours of the day. Perfect timing could even help to establish lunch patterns and after-work patterns that would greatly increase foot traffic in the bakery.
