In order to maintain a positive reputation and ensure that viewers not only remain on your site, but continue to return, it is recommended that marketers avoid shady or “annoying” tactics such as pop-up ads or irritating banner ads that use the human instinct to look towards a flashing object to garner attention. Consumers do not appreciate being tricked, or forced, in to paying attention to an ad. It is important to use great multimedia to get attention, not underhanded tactics when engaged in internet marketing.

In addition, it is important to remember that too much content on a page can turn away viewers. It is tempting to go overboard on content in the interest of being informative, however, the viewer can only take in so much information. Further, the purpose of your site is not to cover every single detail ever created around your topic or company.

Five pieces of advice I would offer when writing an SEO friendly press release are, first to keep it simple.  Write in ordinary language, using common words that your customers would use.  Highlight or boldly format keywords, making them stand out.  Make sure to place key words in the content of the press release as well as in the images.  Ensure that key words are included in all headlines and sub-headlines of the press release.  Steer customers back to your website with the use of anchor text links.  Lastly, write interesting and engaging content.  Inform and entertain your reader and they will be more likely to, not only read the entire press release, but click on other related links to learn more.

There are Many Keys To Success

 

In my opinion, there are three important aspects to a successful SEO press release.  First is in the preparation.  I would want to research which relevant key-words are being used by customers to get to sites like mine.  I would place these keywords in the content of the press release, as well as in any video or images I include.  The content is an important part, as well.  It must be engaging to your reader and contain all relevant key words as well as secondary key words.  Lastly, if the press release has been written in an SEO friendly style and is sent out through one of the major wire services, it has a much better chance of greater visibility, which can turn into a higher search engine ranking.

SEO press releases benefit small companies

 

I own and operate a candle company that would benefit from an SEO press release.  My company is under tremendous pressure because of the intense competition in the candle industry.  To gain higher visibility for my candle company, I will participate in various charity events in my community.  I also attend craft and art shows, and sell my candles there.  I might use an SEO press release to announce one of my upcoming shows or events.  In addition to getting my name out there, the SEO press release would serve to gain more exposure to the event, and in turn, more potential customers for me.  After the event I could follow up with an article that would tie it all together and, subsequently send more traffic back to my site.

I believe that the main difference between an SEO friendly press release and a traditional press release is the intent.  Traditionally, press releases are a way of putting out important or changing information about a particular company, an upcoming event, or forecasts.  An SEO press release should accomplish that, but has the additional goal of creating a bigger buzz about that company or event. An SEO friendly press release will use key-wording and more stylish writing in order to get the attention of the reader, and to engage them on a deeper level.  SEO press releases target the audience and entice them to learn more about the subject.  They will back link to other relevant sites and, in turn create more visibility.

Reap the benefits of a well-crafted press release

When preparing, writing and distributing a SEO press release make sure you write naturally, in simple easy to read language.

.  Know your keywords ahead of time; they will help craft the article.  Using keyword optimization throughout the piece will help search engines pick up these important parts of your press release.

.  Hyperlinks and bold formatting in critical keywords will help make them stand out to your reader.  Linking will give your reader additional information if they want to know more about the company.

.  Use keywords in the headline and sub-headings, keeping the keywords at the beginning of the title.  Keywords in the body of the press release should be close to the headline.

.  Anchoring text links within the most important text words will bring readers back to the main web site.

.  Keep readers engaged; optimize the first 250 words of the press release.  Make them want to click through your links to get more information.  Craft a great press release with a specific angle and know what will capture the attention of your audience.

Have you remembered everything?

Make sure to include these very important processes when preparing, writing and distribution of a press release.  They will ensure high page rankings and your company being found when a searched for. 

Write a summary of 1 to 2 sentences at the beginning of the press release that can stand alone and include a history of the company, its strengths and market position.  Have only one contact person whose name, email address and phone number is listed.

.  Select your best keywords for maximum visibility.  This will ensure you reach the right audience.  Your title should include the keyword phrase and not exceed 100 characters.

.  Choose the right search terms for that particular release and use one primary keyword or phrase followed by a few secondary keywords.

.  The piece should have its own title tags, metadata, description and keywords embedded on the source page based on the content of the release.

If you follow these three steps you can bet that when your company name is searched your target audience will know about what the latest news is.

SEO Press Releases Are Cost Effective

Let’s say we have a business that markets bikinis from Margarita Island in Venezuela and we want to reach a global market and especially resorts.  People who buy bikinis usually look for them in the spring right as the new clothing lines are coming on to the market. 

We have new line of bikinis released this year and we want the world to know about them.  We need to send out an SEO press release prior to the season beginning.  Since we have a limited marketing budget this would be a cost effective way to target our buyers by using keywords and links to like businesses we have relationships with.  We will use a program like Wordtracker to help select the best keywords.

We plan on back linking to credible sites to increase our search ranking and to give us visibility with search engines like Google News and Yahoo News who will pick up our keywords.  In this way we will reach tens of thousands of blogs, websites and news sites that run RSS feeds.

I have chosen “Professional Resume Writing Services” as my business.

My business caters to the professionals / job seekers by creating their resume that highlights their skills and maps their aspiring role/job. Revenue can be generated either as a turnkey project (Pay per assignment) or on prorated basis.

Adapt to the changes:

In 1970, the traditional methods of information dissemination makes it harder to gauge the trends in service industry and adapt to market changes quickly. This knowledge can be achieved only by attending conferences and developing professional networks. These methodologies were also time consuming. Even after putting excess amount of hard work, I could have gained no or minimal success.

Whereas with the internet marketing today, I can easily develop a professional network such as social media tools, blogs, and websites. Through knowledge forums, I can gain more knowledge on the latest changes / developments happening in my service industry. I can also measure the market statistics and easily adapt to the changes by upgrading my knowledge and service levels.
