Good question! We posed this question to our interns in the first week of their Internship Program. Their responses are posted here. They responded based on their Study Guides and further research they conducted into Internet Marketing.

We are now living in the age of the Internet, where almost all households have their own computer and Internet access. This is one of the reasons why Internet Marketing is now an invaluable tool for businesses. People spend more time surfing the Internet than watching TV or listening to the radio. They rely on the Internet to get all the information they need, therefore making it crucial for any business that wants to succeed to be visible in the World Wide Web.
Another reason is the popularity of different social networking sites-Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc., which have millions of members and still growing every single day. This is a clear indication of how the Internet connects people from all across the globe. It shows no signs of slowing down and Internet has now become a “way of life”. It is now imperative for companies to have websites, and at least have Facebook or Twitter accounts, to increase their chances of reaching far more audience and promote their products and services faster.
